As a part of her Middle East debut in Dubai, Kylie Minogue attends the opening of an exclusive Dubai hotel, the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah.
She is said to make her red-carpet entrance to the most expensive private party ever staged (a $35 million soiree).
While on the red carpet, she told the press: “I am nervous.”
Dressing in black and pink floral gown, she said about her specially crafted performance: ““I’m hoping that I’m not so programmed that I’ll go into totally the wrong song.”
Being blown away by her luxurious surroundings, she said:
“I’ve never been here before. I spoke to a few people before coming here, saying in general conversation that I’m going to Dubai, and it seemed to be a bit of a buzz-word, a lot of people were talking about it and no one could really explain it. They just said, `it’s just, it’s, it’s … madness. You’ll have a good time’.It’s really staggering. The airport - my God - the airport - marble floor and glittering columns. I guess more is more here and they’ve done a great job.”
Among the guests of this expensive soiree were politicians, A-list actors, musicians and the Dubai royal family.
Minogue reportedly will receive $4.4 million to entertain the 2000 guests.
