Eva Mendes graces the cover and the pages of Latina magazine December2008/January 2009 issue.
In the magazine she reveals how she is grateful she was an adult before becoming famous as an actress.

The 34-year-old actress become famous with her breakthrough role in 2003’s ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ when she was 28. She thinks a lot of actresses who achieve fame at too young an age and can’t handle it.
She says: “There are a lot of lost little souls in Hollywood - a lot of young women who have so much, who come into fame and fortune when they are young, and it’s very difficult to handle that. I just thank my lucky stars for being an adult before being an actress.”

Eva who has a new movie ‘Spirit’ in theaters with Scarlett Johansson and Jaime King, said about her working relationship with other actresses and how she hates being quizzed about alleged feuds with her female co-stars.: “It’s a very sexist way of thinking. Nobody ever asks that when men work together in an ensemble cast. I have been in the business 10 years and I’ve never had a negative situation with another actress - ever!”

Eva Mendes has done some nude things for PETA’s ‘I’d Rather Go Naked’ campaigns before, and this time around she has told the SUN that she wants to pose naked again and with singer Morrissey, for the love of animals, saying :

“I’ve done a lot of work with them and I know Morrissey is a big supporter of PETA, so here’s hoping. Whether Morrissey would want to get naked with me is another question. Maybe he could come up with something more creative than out-and-out nudity.”

Steven Patrick Morrissey is the former vocalist of the indie band The Smiths, and has an album called “Meat Is Murder” that has inspired fans to be vegetarians.

Eva has also revealed before that she has a crush on Morrissey:

“When he sings it’s poetry in motion to me. It completely speaks to me. I love Morrissey, but I don’t think I’d want to marry him.”

That’s funny she said that. Having crush on Morrissey is something like having crush on Jesus Chris. He is 50 years old now and still no one knows anything about his sexual orientation. He is a self-proclaimed prophet for the fourth sex/gender, something like done with men and done with women.
Though some of his lyrics has some reference to gay culture, and he declared admiration for gay icons like James Dean, for more than 20 years and up until year 2006, he constantly described himself in every interview as asexual and celibate.

Anyhow, the followings are photos of Eva leaving CBS’ The Early Show in NYC yesterday, and Morrissey in The Smith’s ‘This Charming Man’ video which is said to be about gay sex.

The Christmas movie “The Spirit” has just released another trailer.
The movie has an outstanding cast of actors including Eva Mendes, Scarlett Johansson and Jamie King to name a few, but the director not so much. I don’t believe Frank Miller has ever directed anything, since he was mostly busy writing and doing graphics for comic stories like Batman, 300, and Sin City.

The movie is clearly a sorta hero movie which follows the footsteps of The Sin City’s picture and storyline. The official spiel of it says:
“Down these mean streets a man must come. A hero born, murdered, and born again.”

Among the many trailers they made for the movie, I think none could capture the essence of the movie, which tells on how the movie may actually turns out to be.

Rosario Dawson denied the rumors that she is engaged to DJ boyfriend Mathieu Schreyer. She told People.com that they are just dating: “Oh my God, I’d be getting calls from my grandmother being like, ‘Mija! How come I had to read this first?’ “

Nicole Kidman had to shower with a garden hose while on location in her latest movie Australia. In her diaries she says: “The day starts a little strange. There is no water, so I have to shower under the garden hose. I stand there in all my glory - well, actually, with a towel wrapped around me which I soak. I really enjoy it. Maybe I’ll do it again tomorrow.”

Eva Mendes believes that hanging upside down and letting blood rush to her head will maintain her stunning look. A source told the National Enquirer magazine: “Whether it is a photo session or a hot date, Eva swears by hanging her head down on a slant board for about 20 minutes. Allowing blood flow to your upper body and face will bring on a vibrant, flushed-with-youth look.”

Guy Ritchie is planning a tell-all movie about his relationship with Madonna to show his side of their rocky marriage. According to a source in the Grazia magazine: “Guy has said that most people wouldn’t believe what went on in their marriage and it would make the most incredible dark, twisted sort of movie. His idea would be to give it a film noir treatment. It would be fascinating.”

Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl admits he was surprised by some of his character’s saucy sex scenes, as he said: “I come from a moral background, and I can see the power of the show, and imagine my old school teachers cringing, or my grandparents thinking, ‘Oh, my God,’ when they see me, say, having sex on a barstool. But you have to remember, this is not a reality show. It’s supposed to be pure entertainment.”

New PETA ad was quite fascinating for me so I decided to review all their other ads posed by a celebrity.

The result:
Maggie Q, Eva Mendes, Holly Madison, Joanna Krupa, Kori and Jason of Mates of State, Steve-O , and Sophie Monk, among others, also stripped for PETA ads.

Actress and singer Sophie Monk also recently admitted to the Australian radio show, 2Day FM show that she’s lousy in the sack!
“I’m probably bad in bed actually. I think I am a dud honestly. No one’s going to tell you you’re bad in bed.
Why am I saying all this? You aren’t even asking the questions, I’m just bagging myself.”

Training Day, Ghost Rider, and Hitch star Eva Mendes doesn’t like it when people compare her to fellow Latina Jennifer Lopez.
She insists that her career is “more serious,” and that she’s more attentive and dedicated to her chosen profession than Lopez.

She says, “I would like to think I will have a more serious career than J.Lo. We may both be of Latin origin but that’s where the comparisons stop.
She manages her career like the head of a big corporation, whereas the only thing I care about is becoming the best actress possible.”

Get over yourself Eva!

In this photo is Jennifer Lopez in sheer white Dolce & Gabbana chiffon, with actress Leah Remini at ELLE Magazine’s 15th Annual “Women in Hollywood” Tribute. E! Online reports that the two arrived hand in hand, made it to their seats, and hung out like a couple of cool chicks in the cafeteria.

“They talked, they giggled, and they took pics of each other with their BlackBerrys.”

Seems like it was one of the busiest A-listers getitng together: Jane Fonda, Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Sigourney Weaver, Anne Hathaway, Isla Fisher, Diane Keaton, Eva Mendes, Kate Beckinsale, Sheryl Crow, Shirley MacLaine, Courteney Cox, Kerry Washington, Jennie Garth, Katharine McPhee and Cheryl Hines were also there along with male guests David Arquette, Peter Facinelli, Chris Evans, Troy Garity and director Peter Segal.

This morning a feature on Jennifer Lopez by Kevin Sessums from The Daily Beast , created a new profile for Jennifer Lopez. The interview which had been previously killed by a fashion magazine because Lopez was not happy with the way her interviews went, tells her story about selling her babies’ photos, Scientology, being a diva, and a “nervous breakdown” that she’s never publicly discussed.

She is not a Scientologist but has no problem with it:
“I do know a lot about Scientology. And I know about the practices. I know all about what the technology is and all that kind of stuff. It’s very helpful. So in a sense, yeah, you do call on it. No [I don't consider myself a Scientologist]. I wouldn’t have a problem saying it because I know what it is. I have no problems with it and it really actually bothers me that people have such a negative feeling towards it.”

She once had a nervous breakdown
“There was a time when I was very overworked and I was doing music and movies and so many things. I was suffering from a lack of sleep. And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown. I froze up on a set. Well, not on a set, but in my trailer. I was like — I don’t want to move. I don’t want to talk. I don’t want to do anything. It was on that movie Enough,” she says, referring to the film in which she played a battered wife who finally fights back. “Yeah. I did. I had a nervous breakdown.”

She talks about being a Diva:
“I think I’ve always been a favorite to pick on. Once you have a lot of success, you become a target in many ways…I just think that the whole diva thing is a misrepresentation of who I am. I think some of that is because of where I came from. I came from the Bronx and a certain background. I worked really hard. I kept my focus on the right things. And still, even with that, they find stuff to pick on.”

People magazine revealed the list of top 10 best dressed celebrities. Among them are actresses Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron, Eva Mendes, and Sarah Jessica Parker and singers Fergie and Rihanna and supermodel Heidi Klum. Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama also made it to the list.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Fergie really? What about Beyonce? I can’t agree more with Heidi Klum.

On her show, Monday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen DeGeneres asked Ryan Seacrest to fall in love; meanwhile she took out and showed him photos of Britney, Carry Underwood and Jennifer Aniston as his possible love interests. Ryan seems to like Eva Mendes more. He also thinks Britney is not mature enough for him, as he told Ellen:
“She looks like the sister (Jamie Lynn) there, because I was going to say she’s young and obviously there’s enough going on, and that’s not for me.”
Ryan is super cool and he looks like a twenty-something boy despite what Ellen told him: “You’re getting old,” I think Ellen should just leave him on his own. He may not be an old boy but definitely is a big boy.
