This year so many people could not attend the VIP galas that was hosted by the celebs like John Legend or Lindsay Lohan because of the very high price (roughly $200 to $500) and the bad economy, but celebs did it any way.
At the same time some of them just partied outside as in Time Squares like other people, and some like Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers and Lady Gaga performed in separate events all around the US. Some like Eva Langoria stayed low keys, as Eva played the hotness at her own restaurant.
Katy Perry hosted the “Gridlock New Year’s Eve” party at Paramount Studios in LA and partied with guests including Seth MacFarlane, Zelda Robinson and Pamela Hasselhoff.
Fergie hosted a NYE party at LAVO at The Palazzo inside the The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Vegas. Her fiance Josh Duhamel, David Spade, Mena Suvari and Carmen Electra were among the guests.
And as Fergie’s New Years resolution, she has told that “It’s always the same: to work out more and eat healthier. I’m trying to go organic, eat more raw.”
Carmen had a party of her own to host TAO nightclub, but gave Fergie’s party a visit.
She then went changed her clothes between the two events, and her beau Rob Patterson accompanied her between the occasions.
And Carman’s New Year resolution: “To have more fun! I was just with Jenny McCarthy not too long ago, and she said, ‘Carmen, life is supposed to be fun.’ And I remembered that, it stayed in my head. And that is my goal.”
Supermodel Molly Sims and Stacy Keibler were at the New Year’s Eve party at Fontainebleau’s LIV nightclub, looking absolutely fab. Also among the guests were Nick Lachey and Mickey Rourke.

The Desperate Housewives stars a.k.a Dana Delany, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Brenda Strong, Eva Longoria Parker, Nicollette Sheridan, and Felicity Huffman celebrated the 100th episode of their ABC drama on the set of of the show, yesterday.
Eva in this photo should have fallen on the cake and taken Nicollette with her.
What’s with that enormous cake and having the cupcakes. They are having their cake and eating it too? That ain’t good sign for the quality of the episode.
Anyhow, the 100th episode, “The Best Thing That Could Have Happened,” airs Sunday January 18th at same time (9 pm) and the same Chanel (ABC).
Meanwhile the word has it that the show will be extended up to ninth season although no deal has been sealed with ABC yet.

Magic worker and hairstylist to the star Ken Paves did this to Eva Longoria’s hair. She is all happy and smiley now. It seems like she was in pain having the short do, which she did for her role in the Desperate Housewives. Her smoking habits may have its roots in there. Eva Langoria kept wearing these extra floor-length dresses until someone stepped on the tail of her dress and pinned her to the path. It was about time someone let her know that some dresses are good only for some occasions not wearing it on crowded street. But she at least made a kick out of it by laughing it off and letting people help her with it. She looks better than last night and all smiley. She is attending the Puerto Rican actress Roselyn Sanchez wedding at a historic San Juan fort that took place in front of 250 guests.
AP reports the wedding:
“Sanchez and actor Eric Winter arrived Saturday at the San Cristobal fort in a white Mercedes Benz. Guests also included actor Amaury Nolasco and Gov. Anibal Acevedo Vila and his family. Sanchez wore a princess-style dress with hand-embroidered pearls and diamonds created by Venezuelan designer Angel Sanchez. Winter wore a Calvin Klein suit. The couple expects to honeymoon in the Mayan Rivera. The 35-year-old Sanchez appears in the CBS series “Without a Trace” and produced the 2007 movie “Yellow.” The 32-year-old Winter has appeared in the soap “Days of Our Lives.”

The streets of LA must be very good and in favor of Eva Longoria recently, that she can’t get enough of sweeping it with her floor-length dresses. The Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria in a long skin-tight lavender dress, swept up the streets of LA after visiting her hairdresser, and with a new hairdo.
She told the press about starting her fashion line: “I’d love to design my own range of clothes. I don’t have the time now, but I would like to develop a homeware or clothing line. But my definition of style is comfort. Even for award shows, because you have to sit there for four or five hours.”
And once again the 33-year-old actress denied the pregnancy rumors but said she is hoping to start a family and she can’t wait: “We have our priorities and Tony is mine, so we always make it work. We’re very lucky - Tony and I always talk about how lucky we were to find each other. Tony and I clearly know what we want in life; we want a family and to support each other, so it’s pretty easy for us.”

Tara Ried thinks that the reason she gets no acting offer is actually because of the writer`s strike. After American Pie, mostly what she did was some B movies and TV series.
Last week, at Eva Longoria-Parker’s benefit gala in Hollywood, she told Pop Tart:
“I totally plan to go back into acting once the strike stops.”
She adds: “The economy is so bad right now that people are afraid to put money back into acting. Even the shows that seem new, they really shot six months ago. So when it’s all back up again, I will go back into it. That’s my heart.”
Tara`s new career is being a fashion designer as she says:
“I have a clothing line coming out called Mantra by Tara Reid. It’s like the book ‘The Secret’ — the whole line is about colors. Red means love, blue means love, white is peace, black means protection. So when you wear these colors, you might attract love, or green, you’ll get lucky tonight. You put the energy out there, that’s what the line is all about.”
At least she takes her time to analysis the current economy and come up with something.
So, no! she is not an idiot!
